Firewall, Proxy und Router (Tech Support)
Sony Online Entertainment does not support the use of firewalls and proxies, including cable/DSL NAT routers, campus and office networks, or any type of Internet connection sharing services. However, in an effort to assist you in configuring your systems on your own, we would like to provide the following information which may help you in setting up your firewall to work with Star Wars Galaxies™: An Empire Divided™.
Star Wars Galaxies Launchpad and Patch Servers
A TCP connection is initiated from the LaunchPad client port > 1023 to patch.station.sony.com port 7000.
A UDP connection is initiated from the LaunchPad client port > 1023 to sdlaunchpad1.station.sony.com and sdlaunchpad2.station.sony.com port range 3016-3021 and 9700-9703.
Star Wars Galaxies Patch:
A TCP connection is initiated from the Star Wars Galaxies client port > 1023 to patch.starwarsgalaxies.com port 7040, 7070.
Star Wars Galaxies Client UDP connections are initiated from the Star Wars Galaxies client port >1023 to servers on UDP ports 44453, 44462, 44463.
Additionally, ICMP messages type 0 (echo reply), 3 (unreachable), 8 (echo request) and 11 (expired) should be permitted bi-directionally between the client PC and the Star Wars Galaxies servers.
Star Wars Galaxies Servers Subnets
There are multiple IP addresses for the Patch and LaunchPad clusters, and they may change as the network demands, so check often using a DNS lookup tool if you provide a specific firewall rule for these services. The Star Wars Galaxies server IP addresses are currently in these subnets: 199.108.6.*, 199.108.7.*, 199.108.8.*, 199.108.196.*, 199.108.197.*, 199.108.198.*
Crash Logs Submission
Crash logs are sent via a TCP connection to mail.station.sony.com port 2525. Please note that there may be multiple IP addresses that reply for mail.station.sony.com.
Software Firewall and Proxy Information
The following information may assist you in setting up your firewall software if you are having connectivity problems with Star Wars Galaxies. It is recommended that you follow these steps only if you are having difficulty connecting to the servers or are experiencing random disconnections in Star Wars Galaxies. Basic walkthroughs are provided for the following programs:
Ich habe Zone Alarm und Verbindungsprobleme
Versuch folgendes:
- Klick doppelt auf das Zone Alarm Icon in deiner Taskleiste.
- Klick auf Program Control
- Setz den Schalter auf "LOW"
- Schließe das Fenster und starte Star Wars Galaxies
Ich habe den Sygate Personal Firewall und Verbindungsprobleme
Versuch folgendes:
- Klick mit der rechten Maustaste das Sygate Personal Firewall Zeichen in der Taskleiste.
- Klick auf "Security" und dann auf "Allow all"
- Schließe das Fenster und starte Star Wars Galaxies
Ich habe den Norton Personal Firewall und Verbindungsprobleme
Versuch folgendes:
- Geh das Automatische Setup durch
- Setz das "Home Networking" auf wenn du das tun mußt
- Laß den "Autmatic Program Scan" laufen
- Check die Boxen von allen Star Wars Galaxies verwandten Programmen und wähle "Permit all" bei "Internet Access"
- Klick auf Finish
- Klick doppelt auf den Taskbar-Icon für Norton und wähle "Personal Firewall"
- Klick auf "Configure"
- Setz den Firewall-Schalter auf "LOW"
Ich habe den McAfee Personal Firewall und Verbindungsprobleme
Versuch folgendes:
- Starte den "Configuration Assistent"
- Wähle "Allow all traffic"
- Wenn Star Wars Galaxies nicht beim automatischen Scan erschienen ist wähle unter "Allowed Applications" "Search all Drives"
- Check die Boxen von allen Star Wars Galaxies verwandten Programmen
- Klick auf "Finish" und erlaube dem Firewall alle Settings anzupassen und den Computer neu zu starten
- Starte Star Wars Galaxies
Ich habe den Tiny Personal Firewall und Verbindungsprobleme
Versuch folgendes:
- Klick mit der rechten Maustaste auf das Tiny Personal Firewall Icon in der Taskleiste und wähle "Administration Tools"
- Klick auf "Appication Groups"
- Klick auf "Settings" und dann auf "Create new Application Group"
- Gib der neuen Gruppe den Namen Star Wars Galaxies und setze das Security Level auf "Unrestricted"
- Gehe in diese "Unrestrictes Application group" und schau nach allen ausführbaren Dateien in deinem Star Ward Galaxies Ordner. Verschiebe sie in die eben erstelle "Star Wars Galaxies Application group"
- Schließe das Fenster und starte Star Wars Galaxies
